The radiographic testing (RT, X-ray) allows detection of internal volumetric imperfections (lack of penetration, porosity, slag) in a variety of materials. The most popular materials are steel, aluminum alloy and copper. Method used mainly for testing butt welds of plates and pipes.
We are able to examine steel materials with a maximum thickness up to 50 mm. During radiographic tests, due to the harmful effects of ionizing radiation, it is necessary to leave the area of examination by other workers.
We carry out testing using X-ray tubes, isotopes, and digital radiography set.
RT testing is used during manufacturing and in operation for welded joints, castings, forgings, metallurgical materials made of low carbon and alloy steel, aluminium alloys, and other materials. Plastic products, laminates and composites can be tested.
When ordering the RT it is necessary to provide access from both sides of the welded joint / object. The traditional RT (on radiographic film) result is usually given the day after the test; with digital radiography, the result is immediate and the image can be viewed on the computer and emailed.
